I've always wanted to visit this place since passing by it some time back. This little shop is known as Nanyang Old Coffee. I was first drawn to the place because there was a sign on the outside of the shop saying that this was also Singapore Coffee Museum. As a coffee lover, I was attracted to that, so since that day, I made it a point to come back and check the place out.
It was great that I finally could do so. It wasn't something that I planned to do because I wanted to check out Cuppa Choice at Temple Street. But when I reached the bus stop, I remembered and thus I went to check it out.
I ordered a cup of kopi and chee keong fan because I haven't had breakfast. The coffee is different from the usual gourmet coffee that I drink, but Singapore coffee taste great too. It's lovely how coffee has so many varieties. I enjoyed my coffee. The chee keong fan tasted great too. They mixed minced meat with the chee keong fan and the savory flavour was perfect with the coffee.
After my satisfying meal, I went to check out the Singapore Coffee Museum. I had high expectation, but sadly it was not what I anticipated it to be. It was just a simple display and history of Singapore's coffee. However, I'm glad that they made the effort to put together the information. It's great to see that the local coffee culture is still maintained.
Do pop by if you are around this area. :)
